Madison County Habitat for Humanity’s home being built for Ms. Chappell and her family has begun!

June 21, Donald Sartain Masonry supervised the setting of foundation blocks. June 29, July 6, July 13, July 20, and July 27, Lance Wade supervised and completed framing.

August 3, Smith Plumbing completed interior plumbing. August 17, Matt and Mitch Porterfield completed interior wiring.

August 24, vinyl siding application was finished. August 30, Richie Dove supervised metal roof installation.

September 7, work on the front/back porches and soffits/fascia occurred. September 14, soffit and fascia work concluded; front steps were added; front porch painting began; and dampening insulation was added to each bathroom.

September 28, additional work occurred on the front and back porches; debris was placed into a can; and the house was cleaned in preparation for painting sheetrock that has been added to ceilings and walls.

October 5, front porch railings were painted.

The next work day is Saturday, October 12, starting 8:00 a.m. The dry wall is finished and hope to have that big work day painting the interior of the house and clearing yard debris. Please let us know if you are coming by emailing hollomanfamily97@gmail.com.
